Early B33t Basket

What up urrbody! I picked up so many awesome b33ts today so I thought I'd hit you with an early b33t basket! First we're going to start it off nice and smooth with some nu-disco slaps, have a moment of silence for DJ Mehdi, get belligerent off a phat new R3hab/Swanky Tunes remix, and cool it down with Eric Prydz. This b33t basket has at all; nutritious and delicious, meant to hit every vital organ in yo body! Get harvesting now!

Save Me Now (Original Mix):
Aeroplane is that guy everyone envies. Everyone laughs at all his jokes. When he walks into a room, the lights dim and women get pregnant. Matter of fact, your girl friend tries relentlessly to have his babies....AND you're cool with it! He is THAT smoove! Alright I'm getting a little carried away here but my point is, this guy knows how to make MUSIC. Save Me Now is another spectacular single from the one man disco army. Right after your special candle lit dinner, get naughty on the dance floor with this aphrodisia-stic  b33t :)

With You ft. Alexis Taylor:

Carte Blanche FTW.
Let this track play and have a moment of silence for DJ Mehdi. RIP.
*side note: At first i thought it said "ft. Alexis Texas" >_<

Maximal Crazy (R3hab & Swanky Tunes Remix):

GOOD god. When R3hab and Swanky Tunes team up, you can only expect the hardest, loudest, heaviest, neck breaking music to engulf your mind, body, and soul. This track reeks testosterone, guns, b33r, and raw meat.

Circles (Eric Prydz Remix):

Ooo0o0o0hhhh! A beautiful, progressive, technical masterpiece from the grandfather of techno, Eric Prydz.

ALL B33TS are must harvest!

PS thank you for all the Likes on Facebook and for sharing our blog with your friends!

Fire & Ice

What up b33theadz! On most Monday mornings, it is quite the chore getting out of bed. I slowly peel myself from the warmth of my king size water bed, away from the scantily clad women and silk sheets (thread count 10000. it literally feels like wrapping yourself in the fur of a puppy) and drag my feet to the kitchen, where my personal chef, Pierre, whips me up some hot French press. Well, THIS Monday was a whole other story! Once word was out that Kaskade had officially released his SEVENTH complete album, I sprang out of bed, grabbed my garden hoe (it's always nice to have her company when I'm out digging up b33ts), and went straight to the fields for some early mornin' harvesting!

Fire & Ice is an accumulation of ALL of Kaskade's achievement has a DJ/Producer over the years. While he was heavily known for his softer, melodic progressive house (Move For Me, Angel On My Shoulder, any song from his album...), Kaskade has proven that he can handle the main stage. His new big room sound which can be heard from his singles like Turn It Down and Eyes, shows how much versatility and (i hate to use this word but it's hard to be creative this early in the morning) "swagger" he has acquired thus far. The first disk, Fire, features 10 of his original songs with awesome collaborations like Skylar Grey, Dada Life, Haley, and much much more. All of the tracks reflect his "soft side" of smooth melodies and lots of women vocals but still full of color. The second disk, Ice, is meant to cool you down after being scorched by disk 1. It's all of his downtempo edits for after hour activities. Very Nise!

Below I've shared 2 of the bangers. If you keep up with Freshb33ts, I've already given out Eyes and Turn It Down (two spectacular tunes). If you want those, check out the side bar of past posts and go-a-b33t huntin'!
As always: IF you like what you hear, support the music and artist and go out and buy da album!

Ice ft. Dan Black (Original Mix):

This is a nice medium between Kaskade's smooth style and Dada Life's break-your-neck sound.

Waste Love ft. Quadron (Original Mix):

doooopppee! Got a nice old-skool feel. This one is for slow ridin'!

Lick It (Original Mix):
I actually don't like this track all too much. Kaskade keeps it fresh with the well-crafted melody, funky disco beats, and keeping the leash short on Skrillex's overdone sound.
I guess I won't bag on the 'Lex too much and come to the conclusion that they compliment each other well on this b33t.

Because I know how lazy you guys actually are and because I really want you to hear this track, I've added it AGAIN......ya'll welcome
Turn It Down (Original Mix);

Wtf dj mag top 100...

I'm super late on this but the 2011 Top 100 DJ list from finally came out.....
You know this shit can't be accurate if DAVID GUETTA GOT THE #1 SPOT!?!!? The rankings don't add up or make sense..
IF it was purely by popularity, maybe its possible for Guetta to take #1 just because he could pull the mainstream crowd vote BUT I doubt that is the case because 9/10 people who are mainstream electronic listeners have no idea what that Top 100 List is....
If they did know what it was, there is no way Gareth Emery would be above Skrillex and Laidback Luke. Matter of fact, IF it was by popularity vote, the top 10 would probably be something like: Avicii, Deadmao-five, Skrillex, LMFAO, Swedish House, David Guetta, Afrojack, Wolfgang Gartner, etc etc (the "pretentious" listeners will get the joke ^_^)
ALL I WANT TO KNOW is how do they calculate who gets what spot? It obviously cannot be purely on popularity vote. Of course it might have to do with who produced what and who had a successful year but if those things are also taken into account, this list is even more crooked.

How is Boys Noize not in the top 25 AT LEAST?! Infected Mushroom is in the top 25?!?! When was the last time you heard an Infected Mushroom song?

shit's whack!

EDIT// Just leafed through the entire thing. Boys Noize barely took the 100th spot...mhmm...makes sense to me! Also joining him at the bottom is Porter Robinson....yup. Super accurate.
(for those who can't tell, I am being sarcastic)

SHM Essential Selection

A couple of weeks back, the Swedish House Mafia took over BBC Radio 1's Essential Selection. Generally, the show consists of Pete Tong playing the future releases of all kinds of different genres of electronic music. This time around, SHM ran the show, playing 2 hours of their favorite song selections, individually showcasing their VERY unique mixing styles, answering fans' questions, and joking non stop.     After being flung into the spotlight from their infectious single, Cry, the Bingo boyz continue to build a solid reputation with their newest track, Rattle! While this may not be the most complex production, I am a strong believer of: Less is more! This track has a catchy melody that is driven by a hard, bouncy, four-to-the-floor beat with subtle vocal additions and beat changes that will keep you on your toes. If you're listening to the track right now, 100 bucks says that you're bobbing your head and tapping your foot. Imagine this on a slapping club system! N_joy

Rattle (Original Mix):

Good morning people! It looks like Coldplay is the hot, new group to remix. This time Fedde Le Grand takes the reins, starting off with a dark bassline and slowly adding brighter sounds until it drops into a beautiful big room masterpiece! Start off this sunny Saturday the right way!

Paradise (FLG Remix):

Fixing Zocalo (Extrema Edit):

While on the topic of Coldplay; here's a snazzy little mix of my favorite Coldplay song and favorite Armin song. Me likey!

What is up b33theadz! It's thursday, you already know the drill! Shots on top of shots on top of shots on top of some naked babe$! Oh golly miss molly! The theme of this week's b33t basket are jackin, wobbly, bassalicious house tunes that lie less in the big room genre and bend towards more of that grimy shit, like when you're on that purp, lean, and white gurl, VERY NICE! Get ready to get down! N_joy:

Luuk Out Girl (Original Mix):

Finally getting some well deserved publicity, Flosstradamus has released this tune for FREE via Fool's Gold Records (A-Trak's label). This b33t is a sweet collaboration of their hip-hop, party-lectro background with punchy beats along with smooth verses from the one and only, Kid Sister! If these guys ever pass through your town, DO NOT miss out! DO NOT! MISS OUT!

Pills N Thrills (Original Mix):

Wobbly electro to the max! Clothes that were once on, are now off. SonicC knows how to hit the spot ^_^ Me Likey!

Ya Mama (Push The Tempo) (Moguai Remix):

Annnndd WE DON'T STOP!  If you're feeling that the crowd is losing a little energy, kick it into high gear with this JACKIN' remix from Moguai! Absolute kraziness! Like snort-some-PCP-and-go-python wrestling-kraziness!

I except nothing but the worst from you people this weekend! Get. It. On!

PS all 3 b33ts are MUST harvest!

Earthquaky People ft. Rivers Cuomo

I can say that Weezer's music was pretty enjoyable as a young lad. I can also say that Steve Aoki used to go hard back in the day with his punk rock, electro style. Oh how things change....just kidding! I still like Weezer and I still li-....have some respect for Aoki just because the way he used to get down! Anyways, I first heard this track during Steve's set on the ID tour this past summer and wasn't sure if I liked it or not. After 3 or 4 listens, it's starting to grow on me. It's got almost a progressive/electro feel......You be the judge this time.

Earthquakey People ft. Rivers Cuomo <--da dude frum w33z3r:

Favorite part is the dirty ass break @4:37. g-g-g-GET DOWN!

This Post is All About Mr. Cat

Anyways, this is his favorite song. He pulls his pants down and moons everyone out of my bedroom window when he listens to this song. It's actually quite funny.

Procrastinator (Hey Today! Remix):

Daddy like. If you aren't doing so, you should be listing to this tune right meow (thanks for the pun, vic). I'm really feeling those bouncy strings, and the lyrics are a nice touch. holla at a playa!

You Gonna Want Me (Hey Today! Remix):

So this was intended to be a test post, but now it has turned into a post about Hey Today! so deal with it. I feel like I'm trapped in a room full of bouncy balls when I listen to this track.

Here's an Arrested Development video for good measure:

Just today, I discovered the EDC 2012 trailer. EDC this year was awesome and I plan on attending next year BUT I got a bone to pick:

What the fuck is up with all these music festivals selling tickets nearly a year in advance before the actual event?!

If you watch the trailer on their website, at the verrrry end it says that tickets are going on sale November 1, 2011.
Coachella is now two weekends in a row and they started selling tickets in July....more bull shit..... and I'll bet other big music festivals are going to follow suit.
The reason this makes me angry is because its now purely about how much profit these companies can make. THERE ISNT EVEN A LINE UP! Yeah, most likely they'll get the best artists around yada yada yada but how are you going to put people in a position where they have to buy a ticket now or potentially not be able to go at all?
Some of you are going to tell me "No, they aren't going to sell ALL the tickets" No shit, dummy, I knew that. If you followed Coachella at all last year: They sold tickets 5 months early and when tickets went on sale again during their normal time, it sold out in less then week. Anyone who really wanted to go only had the option to pay scalpers at least double the price. Sounds like a bunch of bull shit to me.
But hey, I am only one guy expressing my personal opinion and what can I do? Hell, I'll probably even end up buying a pre-sale ticket to avoid getting raped by price-spikes, come ACTUAL normal ticket sale-time. Fuck, this is retarded. Me angry.

PS: little side note, I live in CA and some of my friends are on the quarter college system. Apparently, the new date (june 8-10) is the weekend before finals week.......if you fit that system, I'd write an angry letter now.

B33t Basket

Time for your weekly dose of banging b33ts. Open wide

Mr. Brightside (Marco V Treatment):

If you love The Killers and if you love electronic music, this b33t is for you! Marco V builds smooth, progressive melodies around Brandon Flower's vocals then drops it with warehouse-style rave bass!

Overdrive (Original Mix):

Fresh new track from Tristan Garner! With a very fitting title, this giant tune is just what you need to bring up the energy in your set!

Selecta (DirtyLoud Remix):

Saved the best for last! DirtyLoud does an awesome job combining dirty dutch with his signature HARD, electro house!!! SO DOPE!

The world anxiously holds its breathe in anticipation for the rebirth of Justice! With two singles under their belt (Civilization and Audio, Video, Disco) and the recent release of their third, Helix, it is clear that the two frenchmen, known for their hard electro sound, have chosen a new direction for their second album.
As cliche or as "typical" as this may sound, Justice (Waters of Nazareth) is where it all began for me. After getting a taste of their gritty sound, I was truly hooked; especially after only really hearing electronic music of the likes of Eric Prydz, Darude, and Daft Punk. It was life changing. Fast forward to now, there has been a lot of debate over their latest work. Me personally? Granted, it took a little getting used to....I can dig it! Being a classic rock fiend before my electronic days, I love how Justice have "simplified" their sound and stick to basics (mainly guitar, bass, keyboard, and percussion) but are still able to make funky music. I will say, I don't know how this music will sound in a live environment. It is definitely not as "dance-y" and more on the performance end of going to a rock concert vs a rave. But hey! Great artists have to switch it up here and there and maybe their 3rd album will come back to the Cross sound. Until then, I'm going to welcome this change with open arms and see where it goes from there.
What do you think about this new Justice?

Audio, Video, Disco (Para One Remix):

Harvest (192kbps)
Para One turns their 2nd single into a rave banger. If anything, I know there are going to be killer remix packs of each track so have no fear if this new Justice ain't your cup of tea.
