weekend b33t basket

One thing I find interesting about electronic music is that there is really no such thing as a "one hit wonder". TRY to think of an artist whom you only like ONE of his or her songs (it doesn't count if you only know one song). You can stop trying because you won't be able to. And even if you try to prove me wrong, I'll prove YOU wrong by throwing a bunch of songs at you that you'll end up liking. I'm rambling here but I was thinking about it the other day and its crazy how much electronic music has changed the world; how its made (anyone can do it their living room), who listens to it, why people listen to it (drugz maybe? maybe u lyk hard dans b33ts?), the effect on OTHER genres of music, and so much more.
Before I type you to death, what I want to leave you with is that while many people feel like this is a "phase" of our generation/culture (and hey, it might be...but only until all the ecstasy runs out. jk ^_^), the lasting impression its had on music as a whole is never going to go for all you h8trz out there, might as well just get with the times. For those who love the music, keeping being awesome!

Future Folk (Original Mix):

PHAT, PHAT, PHAT! Tommy Trash drops another original bomb. Dirty house for you dirty girlz.

Bangarang (Original Mix):

New $krillex. I've always been neutral about his music. I will say that he is an awesome producer. While his music might not be everyone's cup o' tea, when you're looking to get rowdy n blow off some steam, he's your go-to guy.

REJ (Original Mix):

I have always been a HUGE fan of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike's work. They always have a very full, HARD, big room sound. Watch out for the 2nd drop, soo0o0o nasty!!!

Alive (Tommy Trash Remix):

Started with Tommy, gonna end with Tommy. For those who keep up with freshb33ts, you probably know how much I love hard, neck breaking music. While the original version was pretty and nice, nothing is better that getting a fistful of extra bass right in the gut. Very nice, Mr. Trash. We applaud you.

What up b33theads! We got ourselves a monster! Young, rising superstars, Hardwell and Nicky Romero have teamed up and released a crushing, big room banger! Growling synth leads, upbeat harmonic breakdowns, and fistfuls of bass makes this tune nothing short of being a worldwide #1 hit. Beta is the end of the night tune where it's time to make a lasting impression on the crowd. Shut it down with this enormous track! N_frikin_joy

Return Of The Hyphy Movement

For those who don't know, I reside in the Bay Area of Killafornia.  It's the birthplace of the thizzle dance and Mac Dre. It's where ghosting riding your whip is the ONLY way you get around town. If you go to church, you believe in Jesus with mawfuckin' dreads! Why be smart when you can go stupid, dumb, AND hyphy! Yadadameen? Still confused: click here :)
Slap this mix in the car, at the gym, in the club, Sunday dinner with G-ma, yada yada yada......N_joy

Weekend B33t Basket

It is the weekend and I got 3 RETARDEDLY awesome songs that are going to bring down the house. This is officially my last week of summer so I'm going to go extra ham. Harvest and N_joy

Voices (Original Mix):
If you didn't go to Speaker Noise Society and grabbed the free copy of Deep Red off Fake Blood's newest EP, cover yourself in chicken blood and lay in a Louisiana swamp. All 3 tracks are Triple grade A organicly awesome and you'd be stupid not to give them a listen. Here is another free track off the EP; full of filthy analog synths and ball shaking bass. FAKE BLOOD AT HARD HAUNTED! SEE YOU THERE!

Turn It On (Dillon Francis Remix):
o0o0o0oh. Another gem from Dillon Francis! Starts off tropical and friendly then drops...

Little Bad Girl (Dada Life Guerilla Fart #13):
awwwww yeahhhhhhh Dada Life continues their Guerilla fart series by greasing up this pop, top 40 tune and turns it into a club banging monster!!!!!! The louder you play this track, the better it gets!!!

Wolfgang's new album

Finally found sometime to listen to Wolfgang Gartner's latest album, Weekend In America. Genre wise, it stays simple. Every track is Gartner's very own signature, hard cutting, electro house. That being said, music-wise, the album is FAR from boring. Taking a quick glance of the track list, most of you will recognize a few of the songs released as singles throughout last year: like Space Junk, Illmerica, and Forever. In addition to those #1 hits, he has released 8 more additional tracks that are looking to follow suit in popularity. Also from glancing at the track list you can see he has done some mainstream work with Eve, Jim Jones, Omarion, and william. Interesting move but hey, everyone has got to make a dollar here and there. Overall, I give the album a solid 8.69/10
Below I have included 3 killer tracks that I KNOW are going to be top 10 hits. N_joy:

818 (Extended Mix):

Personally, my favorite track on the album. All I can say is that this song is HARD!

The Champ (Extended Mix):

Very Undertaker-esque, Gartner goes crazy on this one. Also very awesome.

The Way It Was (Extended Mix):

ahhhh This track pissed me off. If you've been to his live shows, you know that this song is a remix of Bob Marley's Sun Is Shining and that he usually plays a mesmerizing vocal version that has a better melodic structure (peep video below). Well, I guess the rat bastard decided to gypsy us with this sort-of-similar-sounding version >_<
Hopefully he releases the real deal someday. Its a tie between 818 and his live version of this song for best song on the album.

The Ones EP

What up b33t headz! Today, Bart B More and Hahvahd Bass have released their collaboration EP, titled, The Ones. It features two filthy tracks that reflect perfectly on both producers' hard, punchy sounds. Imagine the songs as two of your best friends. One is a grungy, city kid and the other one is your funky, foreign friend. Both of them like to party but in two completely different styles! The first track, The Dark One, stacks thrashing synths and cutting percussion that screams for punch-a-shark-in-the-face behavior. When the second track comes on, its time bust out your best moves to the fiery, "latin", The Funky One. Don't miss out on two of my favorite producers going super HAM on this extra special EP. Git harvistin NOW:

I Know The Truth

If you haven't already jumped on the band wagon, now is a good time! Pretty Lights continues to ravage the US with nonstop, sold out shows with the latest being with the first ever, traveling electronic show, Identity Festival. It was at the Bay Area stop where I was able to get my first taste of the Pretty Lights experience. To cut things short: the Colorado native dropped BOMBS on the crowd. What makes this man so unique is his intricate use of samples and literally every musical genre out there, from glitch and dubstep to rock n roll and disco; creating brain-twisting soundscapes that are guaranteed to phuck you up! Check him out NOW!

Stage set ups are getting niftier and niftier....lawdy lawwwd!
(PS: this video doesn't do justice. The bass was crippling)

I Know The Truth:

Pretty Lights vs Led Zeppelin:

He is a sampling genius! My favorite part has got to be the Black Dog snippet. Krazy shit.

If you didn't already know, Pretty Lights gives ALL his music out for FREE and in return, asks for an any-amount donation.
Don't be a gypsy and make sure to donate.

Spitfire EP

Earlier this week, electro house prodigy, Porter Robinson, released his highly anticipated Spitfire EP. THis is the first piece(s) of music released off Skrillex's new record label, OWSLA. Now, before I go on ranting about how awesome every track is, lets quickly look back and observe his humble beginnings. For me, it all started with his killer single, Say My Name, and slowly after that, his fame sky rocketed after his hard hitting remix of Tim Berg's, Bromance. Since then, he hasn't slowed down; pumping out non-stop hits. In his neweest EP, he continues to take music to a whole other level with the use of incorporating dubstep, trance elements, and even moombahton, over his signature, hard hitting electro house! Below I've included 4 track off the EP that vary in sound and style, and will make your legs wobble! N_JOY:

The Seconds ft. Jano (Original Mix):

Sexy vocals over phat trance breaks into nasty electro house drops. This is Porter Robinson in the tiniest nutshell.

Spitfire (Original Mix):

Oh hello! PR can fuck with dubstep too!

Unison (Mikkas Remix):

The progression on this track is awesome! Very trance-like over hard electro b33ts!

100% In The Bitch (Original Mix):

EASILY my favorite track on the EP. Booty-shakin moombahstep to start your morning! WOOP!

Be sure to cop the rest of the EP! Phat remixes by Kill The Noise, Knife Party, and moar!

Truly a musical pioneer.
I'm sad I never got to see him live; solo or as Carte Blanche.
Keep rockin it in the after life.
RIP Mehdi

Jack On The Moon:

The Molecules:

Carte Blanche (Riton & Mehdi) and Ed Banger Records are giving this track out for free in memory of Mehdi. Eerie, down tempo tune that makes me even sadder for the loss. The music world has lost so much creativity...

B33t basket!

Allo! Yekshimesh! Here come the excuses: got a jerb, an internship, and 6 children from 13 different women (don't know how that happened, it just did). Now that you understand why the b33ts have been slacking, let us move on.

We're All No One (Nervo goes to Paris Remix):
Hey! Don't be the awkward guy in the corner! Start it off with this chillaxing, smooth riding, pop tune from the saucy and sexy Nervo Twins!

9000 (Original Mix):
Alright, now that you've had your nightly quota of 3 appletini's and the 1's are starting to look like 10's, it's time to take that tie off your neck and wrap it around your head, sushi chef-style! Get ready to shake some serious tail feather to Carl Tricks' latest and greatest chune, 9000! Nothing to fancy, just some kinky horns and four to the floor, thats all Mr. Tricks needs to get you on all fours!

Big (John Dahlback Remix):
Usually, we are used to hearing Dahlback rip our faces off with dark melodies and killur bass lines. This time around, he puts on a daisy hat and throws puppies on us with his latest remix on Sneaky Sound System's single, Big. The hook on this track is super addictive, get harvesting!

His point of  view:

My point of view:

Coming Sept. 5th

It's here, b33theadz! You've already heard my rants on how Tiesto is the God of this music, one of the best, etc etc. and while many people didn't like his transformation into House, when you take a listen to his latest track, Maximal Krazy, you can't help but to get on your knees and bow! Piling on edgy synths and dirty, dutch horns with heaping servings of bass, Tiesto kick our ass once more with another atomic bomb of a song! gogogogo!

Maximal Crazy (Original Mix):
